Ok Amigos.
We’re bringing the Fun back.
Chins up,
puff up your chests,
hearts to the Sky.Great Smiley Day.
Amazing things:
🦒 ZOO
Only seeing wild creatures had enough pull to convince Hugo not to go back home (he misses Nati sooo much…)
After spending 45 minutes in traffic (it turned out it was a free admission weekend at the zoo, and EVERYBODY headed there), nap which started exactly at the last turn before the ZOO sign (classic…), we entered Paradise.
Monkeys, Giraffes, our fav cafeteria - reliable staples.
But it was the Bongos which stole our hearts.
Feeding off our hands, licking with their meter-long tongues, making cutest faces → instant entrants to my 100 cutest animals list.
Number one?
Obvious.
Hugo.
Especially when he’s so engrossed in exploring, getting to know the world, and happy.
Cutest!
🦒 “I love you as much as the entire city”
When something is really big, Hugi refers to it as “as big as our house”.
How dearly must he love me if he compared his yesterday’s level of affection to the entire city?
Heart-melter.
🦒 Bird world quarrels & beefs
While our time at Orunia Playground was pretty average, observing birds soon after was a definitive highlight.
We laughed HARD, and Hugi even did this loveliest neck-hanger hug that I adore.
Great photo = another extra snack ;)
🦒 Nap + early to bed
I couldn’t ignore the obvious “rest needed” signals anymore.
In total, I slept almost 12 hours (2+10).
Step in the right direction, but there’s still much sleep debt to be paid off.
🦒 My morning
At this point, the data shows clearly: quality of my days is directly proportional to quality of my mornings.
On days when have even just a slightest bit of time for myself, the rest of the day comes easy.
When I start with panic people pleasing, acting on rush, it’s hard to maintain composure later.
Pour myself first,
to be able to give & serve.
