I’m still a little hazy from festivities & celebrations.
It was a good time, much deserved rest & relax.
At times I felt I went overboard with getting loose, but now I appreciate it.
I really needed a reset.
🌟 Memories:
🌟 The Simple Joys of Just Being (all the time)
We’ve spent a fair share of this weekend doing NOTHING.
Playing, eating, watching (too much) tv, chilling on the sofa, hugging, gardening, cleaning the pool, eating again, doing stuff that does not scream EXCITING the way festivals, bungee jumps & exotic trips do.
But we enjoyed the hell out of it.
And that’s what matters.
We needed this slower time to recharge & reconnect.
We’re emerging stronger, bonded, ready for new adventures.
Appreciate.
🌟 Return X Skatepark (Thursday)
It was my first time in 9? years.
The moment I saw my old bike on my brother’s car, my knees melted.
It felt like seeing your highschool crush, first love.
Riding felt even better.
Surprisingly, I didn’t loose all skill.
Muscle memory kicked in, and I even threw a barspin.
Proud I’m-not-old-yet moment.
More, please.
🌟 Hevelianum & 100cznia (Friday)
This trip felt special.
We didn’t go to usual places, saw a new face of Gdańsk.
Hugi had fun in the interactive museum, we ate great tacos, view from the top was amazing.
Everything that day felt easy, flowy, laid-back.
Cool.
🌟 Picnic & Market @ Oklaski Stanisławie (Sunday)
It might have been my favourite event in Tczew, ever.
All ingredients mixed perfectly, creating a lush summer experience:
fantastic, groovy soundscapes (shazam on repeat)
ideal weather
beautiful, smiley crowd
The first part was extra special.
It was just the two of us, with Hugi under grandparents’ superivision.
It felt nice not to be on watch, make up games, cater to our Prince Charming’s ever-growing list of demands.
We talked a lot, cleared up the air (it was a bit stinky in the last couple days), had all-in-all fabolous time.
Our dates is something I really need.
🌟 Impromptu Gregi’s Birthday Party (Sunday)
I was supposed to meet Gregi for b-day celebrations on Friday or Saturday.
That didn’t work out.
Furtunately, they decided to visit us on their way back from Gdańsk.
I did everything I could to make it special despite limited time & resources
We served platters of fruits, pumped up balloons, improvised a gift (and a lovely bday bag), I even found one last candle.
It was a pleasurable time.
Without god-knows-how-big fireworks but good.
Quite similar to this whole weekend - nothing extraordinary, but quite extra in ordinary.
